Robbery In Reverse: thoughts after launch

Hey everyone!

On July 9, 2023 I submitted Robbery in Reverse to the Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam. In the 48 hour window that  I  spent making the game, and the week that followed, I learned many new things, published my first game online, and played many incredible submissions. In this game I experimented with concepts that I had never tried before. Clearly, Robbery In Reverse was not a masterpiece, but it was a crucial milestone in my game development journey. During the 7 day voting period,  my game was rated by 19 people. These 19 ratings landed me roughly in the middle as far a rankings go. I am extremely happy that my game did this well in the jam and look forward to entering next year.

If you would like to see how my game did you can check out the game's jam page.

I would like to thank the people who rated my game, as well as the people who gave helpful feedback and encouragement in the comments. You guys are great! I would also like to congratulate the winners of the jam. Your games are incredible. Best of luck on future projects. Finally, I would like to thank the people at Game Maker's Toolkit who made all of this possible.

As far as the future of this game goes, I have chosen to preserve it in it's original submission format. Just before posting this, I added five screenshots to the game's web page, just for the purpose of better representing it to anyone who views my page. As of today, August 8, 2023, Robbery In Reverse will receive no further changes. The game will remain available.

As far as my goals for the future, I would like to continue developing games and publishing them right here.  If you have any ideas for the future, let me know. I plan to start working on an FPS game soon. I will keep you guys updated once I have more details to share. Follow my profile to find out when I post something new. I look forward to sharing more content with you in the future. For now, I will start brainstorming.

Have a great day everyone!
